This seemingly never-ending saga began when I broke my foot in Guatemala in mid-August (2010).
After 14.6 weeks in fiberglass casts, I have now graduated to this knee-length AirCast--a misnomer, to be sure, as it's much bigger and heavier than the fiberglass version. There's still a slight line on the x-rays, so more healing needs to occur. Hence I'm still on crutches, probably for several more weeks, but at least I'll be starting p.t. for range of motion (next-to-none right now) later this week.
I predict as part of your therapy you will be writing the alphabet in the air with your toes--a good time to practice your Chinese calligraphy :-) Good luck with your healing.
